After purchasing the barn and working closely with the architects on design and layout we gained planning for two new homes, one of which my family and I have moved into.
We had to work closely with ecologists and archaeologists before the build could start, this was all part of the planning conditions.
We used local materials to ensure the new buildings blended in with the immediate surrounds and echoed the old barn including building with reclaimed bricks.
